Adult Judo Class
Ages 15 to adult
The Ameri-Kan Judo staff will be teaching at the YMCA. Ameri-Kan is one of the largest Judo clubs in the USA. Mark Hunter, who holds a 7th Degree Black Belt in Judo and is a National Certified Judo Coach through the US Judo Association, will be the head instructor.
This class teaches throws, hold downs, chokes and arm locks. Self-defense techniques and tournament training.
Teaches the basics of punches, blocks, kicks, and forms. This class is excellent for boosting confidence, discipline, and self-control.
Tuesday and Thursday: 6-7:30pm
Pickle Ball Program
The YMCA has 4 pickle ball courts located at the new YMCA in the North and South gym. Available time for play is Monday through Friday from 10-12 am. This is Free for Lima YMCA Members. Some rackets are available.
The time for beginners is on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:40-10:40 am.

Beginner Fitness Program; Individualized- Not a class
If you are a first-time exerciser or health seeker, and need some motivation and additional “coaching” to help you start and/or stick with an exercise program, Jump Start’s 12-week personalized fitness program is for you! Sports Specific Training
Wellness instructors are always on duty in the Weight Room and Wellness Center, but for those who want more individualized attention, we have personal trainers for one-on-one instruction.

Small Group Classes
Groups of 4, 5, or 6 people (minimum of 4, maximum of 6) 2 times per week. 7 week sessions. 14 classes with the benefit of a small group for more individualized attention.
Our linebacker program offers the best of both worlds by giving you the chance to work out with a friend and an experienced, certified personal trainer. Get the fun support and motivation that comes from exercising with a partner. Our Linebacker program involves alternating one minute of cardio with one minute of strength training for a total of 30 minutes.

Lima Family YMCA Pilates Reformer Instructors are highly qualified, having completed nearly 50 hours of training with nationally recognized Stott Pilates Reformer authorities..
In addition, our instructors have a wide variety of related certifications and trainings including indoor cycling, group exercise, personal training and yoga.
All classes will be held in our Pilates Reformer Studio.

Partner Private “Duet” Pilates Reformer Training
(One Instructor and Two Participants)
Workout with a spouse, partner, co-worker or friend and take your accoutability and motivation to a new level. The camaraderie of partner training creates an enjoyable experience for all.

Team Reformer Pilates
Join the Lima Family YMCA for Team Pilates. We have 4 great weekly times to choose from:
Monday & Wednesday: 9:30 am; 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm
Team Pilates is your chance to take Stott Pilates with a group of 5 people – Your instructor and 4 students.
This class guarantees Pilates Reformer Training 2 times per week!
FEE: Member $110; Non-Member $260
*Before registering for Team Pilates, a series of One-On-One Pilates class is required.
Pilates Reformer Work uses a device with attached cables, pulleys and springs for resistance. You’ll use your own body as resistance. Pilates exercises are very low impact and engage abdominal, the back, upper leg and gluteus muscles to stabilize the body’s core. The exercises are modified according to each person’s individual flexibility and strength limitations.

Racquetball /Handball/ Wallyball Courts
All court reservations are made at the front desk. Courts may be reserved for an hourly fee of $2, which must be paid at the time the reservation is made. Court cards may be purchased for $20, which entitles the owner to 10 reservations and allows the player to make phone reservations. Reservations may be made two days in advance of using the court.
A walk-on reservation is free to members and may be made 20 minutes before a court time opens.
Eye guards are strongly recommended when playing racquetball or handball (mandatory for those under age 18).
Physical Well-Being Evaluation
Identify your training needs and check your progress in this one-on-one fitness orientation for novices and the experienced.
